Breathtaking Cruises

RCI Cruises

Let’s start off with a plain and simple fact: RCI cruises are some of the most fun you’re ever going to have. RCI, or Royal Caribbean International, is renowned for its luxury, customer service, and innovation in cruising.

RCI was the first company to venture outside of the waters which are its namesake, sailing all over the world in order to provide the best possible cruising experience for its customers. RCI cruises to places from the Pacific Northwest of North America, to Europe. Obviously, the Caribbean is among the mainstays of RCI cruises, but other popular destinations include Asia and the Mexican Riviera.

For those wishing to see more of the interior of a particular destination, RCI offers what they call “CruiseTours”, which are a combination excursion & cruise. It is in this way that you can cruise in style to Europe or South America, and visit their storied and wonderful cities, all in the same trip!

As long as we’re on the subject of why RCI cruises blow the competition out of the water (pardon the pun!), here is an excerpt from RCI’s website, detailing the amenities one can expect as a member of their promotional / preferred members’ club, the Crown & Anchor Society:

“ Diamond Plus members of the Crown & Anchor Society and guests reserved in our Suites (excluding Junior Suites) can take advantage of the Concierge Lounge. Available on the Enchantment of the Seas® and all Voyager and Radiance-class ships, Concierge Club guests will receive this complimentary service that provides assistance with any special requests they may have while sailing. As a Concierge Club guest, you will be offered amenities and services not available to other guests including:

  • A dedicated Concierge who is available to assist with anything you require
  • Twenty-four-hour a day use of the Concierge Club Lounge
  • Continental breakfast every morning† and open bar & hors d'oeuvres every evening available in the Concierge Club Lounge
  • Assistance with reservations for Portofino Italian restaurant & Chops Grille Steakhouse
  • Assistance with Explorations! Bookings
  • Assistance booking appointments for Salon or Spa treatments
  • Priority tickets for the ice skating show
  • Assistance with the arrangement of private parties
  • Personalized Discover Shopping advice
  • DVDs and CDs available to borrow during the Concierge's hours
  • Pre-ordering of your dinner wine
  • Business services (faxing, copying, etc.)...”

Keep in mind, these are just a few of the truly amazing perks you can take advantage of as a member of the Crown & Anchor Society. Most importantly, the more often you sail, the cheaper it gets, and the more amenities you get, which lets you sail more often, which gets you better treatment.... see where this is going? RCI cruises in and of themselves are great, but if you want some really great advice, sign up for this club - it’s like frequent flyer miles.... on steroids.

As with all cruises, proper planning is essential to having a good time. For any questions you might have, including what to bring, what NOT to bring, documentation you might need, incidental fees, and the like, call your travel agent. Additionally, an RCI representative will be happy to assist you - the important thing is that you ask for help.

With all this in mind, there’s only one thing left to do before you jet off to what is sure to be the first of many RCI cruises: Make sure you bring your sunglasses!
