Carnival Cruises
Carnival Cruises are packed with experience. The company has three different cruise liners which operate from New Orleans; the Carnival Triumph, the Carnival Ecstasy and the Carnival Conquest. The ships travel to either the Caribbean or Mexico with a number of different night and price options available. The price for a seven day cruise onboard the Carnival Triumph to the Eastern Caribbean stopping at Key West, Florida, and Freeport and Nassau in the Bahamas starts at $589 per person for an interior room and rises to $1229 per person for a suite. The ship includes numerous dining and entertainment options including a waterslide and whirlpools, mini golf, a seaside theatre and a pizzeria.
Norwegian Cruise Line
Norwegian Cruise Line is another company which offer cruises from New Orleans. The cruises all travel to the Caribbean. A popular choice is the seven day exotic Western Caribbean cruise which stops at Cozumel, Belize City, Roatan and Costa Maya onboard the Norwegian Spirit. The Norwegian Spirit has a vast array of dining and entertainment options including swimming pools, a basketball court, a hair and beauty salon, a theater, a library and a casino. They also have a child care service. The cost for a seven day cruise to the Caribbean is $429 per person for an interior room and rises to $1899 per person for a suite.
Royal Caribbean International
Royal Caribbean International have four different types of cruises that depart from New Orleans. All travel to the Caribbean although the options once onboard vary. A popular choice is the seven night Western Caribbean holiday cruise. Departing from New Orleans stops include Falmouth, George Town and Cozumel before returning to New Orleans on the eight day. Prices start from $529 per person for an interior room and increase to $1129 per person for a deluxe suite. Cruises are onboard the ‘Voyager of the Sea’ a luxury vessel. The entertainment facilities on the ship are enormous and include an ice skating rink, a rock climbing wall, a basket ball court, a miniature golf course, a spa and fitness centre and a casino. The dining options are varied too with a large selection of restaurants for every taste. There is also the option to partake in an excursion at one or all of the stops. Excursions include a horse and buggy ride through the streets of Falmouth in Jamaica, a trip to the Cayman underwater observatory in George Town and a historical walking and shopping tour in Cozumel, Mexico.
